I’d love to share the story behind my latest piece, Voice in silence .

This artwork was born from my reflections on resilience — the kind I see in everyday people, especially women, who carry their strength with quiet dignity. The coral beads you see around her neck aren’t just decoration; they are a crown, a symbol of heritage, pride, and identity.

By blending charcoal realism with bold acrylic African patterns, I wanted to create a dialogue between softness and strength, past and present. It’s a reminder that courage isn’t always loud — sometimes, it’s steady, silent, and deeply rooted in who we are.

For those who resonate with this story, Voice in silence is available as an original piece, and I’ve also made a small number of limited edition prints for collectors who wish to bring this narrative into their space.

Warmly,

Ayodele Odetola
